Meet Little Hawk
A Day in the Life with Little Hawk: Join Nowashe’s Head Docent Liz Pendleton, “Little Hawk,” as she takes museum-goers on a journey through time back to the Woodland Era. Little Hawk will highlight daily domestic activities and discuss how Native, or Indigenous Peoples, creatively used only the natural items surrounding them to survive. Popular Native foods, a corn pounding demonstration and the making of corn cakes, or Journey Cakes, also will be explored.
