North-central Connecticut is rich with rolling hills and farmland along the Connecticut River. Show Curator, Liz Bologna from Arts Center East in Vernon will begin Ray Hardman’s trip with a stop at Nowashe Village. Located behind the Wood Memorial Library in South Windsor, Nowashe Village transforms those visiting to a time of New England Indigenous culture. Miciah and Taylor Stasis, sisters from Herring Pond Wampanoag, will demonstrate cultural art in the form of basket weaving and porcupine quill embroidery.
