Native Clothing and Adornment in the Woodland Period
Explore Indigenous Clothing and Adornment in the Woodland Period with Education Director Liz Glaviano. Discover the similarities and differences between men and women’s clothing of the Eastern Woodland Peoples, such their design and functionality, pre- permanent European settlement when the use of cloth-based clothing was ever-increasing. Liz also will discuss the multifaceted use of body adornment, such as tattoos and adornments, and Wampum, not only as symbols but as records of important events and items with spiritual associations.
