Native American Survival Techniques

Join Drew Shuptar-Rayvis, (Pekatawas MakataweU “Black Corn,” Pocomoke Indian Nation) in Nowashe Village as he navigates through essential survival techniques used for thousands of years by New England’s Indigenous People. Topics to be explored include starting a fire without a lighter/matches; making essential stone tools using the flint knapping method; constructing temporary shelter; along with learning successful hunting techniques and more.

This week’s craft table features beading necklaces with a turkey feather pendant.
